In September, Smitiuch & Young LLP proudly sponsored a team for the 2007 Canadian Paraplegic Association of Ontario Wheelchair Relay Challenge. The purpose of this event was to raise awareness and funds to support the important work that the Association performs with individuals who have acquired mobility impairments.
A significant amount of money was raised for this important cause and the Smitiuch & Young LLP team won first prize as the fastest team.
The Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario serves people with spinal cord injuries and mobility impairments in facing the challenges of adapting to newly acquired injuries. The Association provides peer support, rehabilitation counselling, employment services, community advocacy, information and attendant services to people living with physical disabilities
